How far can I ride one of your e-bikes on a single charge?

The range depends on a number of factors: the battery capacity, how much pedal-assist you use, the terrain (hills vs flats), rider weight, cargo, tyre pressure and weather. As a rough guide: many e-bikes will do 20-40 miles or more on moderate assist, but models with larger batteries or lower assist settings can go substantially further. When youβre shopping, check the specification for βbattery watt-hoursβ (Wh) or βamp-hoursβ (Ah) and ask how the estimate was derived.

Do I still need to pedal when riding an e-bike?

Yes in most cases the motor is there to assist your pedalling rather than replace it entirely. Some bikes include a throttle mode (depending on region and model) which enables you to ride without pedalling, but the primary riding style remains pedal-assist. If you ride without pedalling (or battery assist runs out), you can still ride the bike like a conventional bicycle though keep in mind the extra weight of the battery/motor may make it harder.
